Help Power button the only way to wake this phone???

I tried to search, but had no luck. Is there an app or something I can use to wake up the phone with either the touch buttons or something other then just the power button???

Is that with a special lock app?? I am on pete's 2.3 stock rom.

It's stock functions - opening the keyboard wakes the phone.

Stock, the camera and vol buttons do not wake the phone. That functionality is available in some custom ROMS. Liquid Gingerbread (LGB 1.42) for example has the option to wake the phone with the vol buttons.
