Try this... First, my wife has been having the same issue with her Evo, not getting the notifications and all...

Go to Facebook on your PC and Deactivate your account. It will tell you that which people are gonna miss you and all, but go ahead and deactivate it. It doesn't really erase your account, it just sets it idle. I don't know if you need to, but I uninstalled the new FB update. I reactivated the FB account on the computer simply by logging back in as normal. Reinstall the update for FB on the phone. In her case, we had done a Factory Reset, so it was completely clean. Log into Facebook on your device, and post yourself a message on your wall from the pc to test it out. Hope this helps... it did for her.

hi guys, i am a happy android convert.
can anybody please help me with problems in installing "Facebook for android". i always get this notifications
"you do not have permission to open this page market://details?id....=com.facebook..... " when downloading it from facebook page itself."
i am currently browsing via mobile web using my galaxy s, but it is better to have the facebook for android app itself.
any help would be appreciated, thanks guys
