Showing texts and mp3 player on the lock screen?

Hey guys,

I was wondering if any of you know a way of showing new texts on the lock screen? Also, is there any way to change mp3s via the lock screen? These are a couple of things I miss having moved from an iPhone.

This is probably a stupid questions (as are the above 2) but is there a way to set the music player to go to the library by using the back button? When a song is playing it just goes back to the home screen.

For the music player i use power amp and it has a widget on the lock screen which works great, it allows me to change the long and playlist and also displays the album artwork. It does cost $5 but its worth it, the music also sounds way better. The back button works as you described on it too.
 
Laggy, slow and buggy was eliminated with the most recsent update...

Security, setup fingerprint scanner, and if you click on any widget or anything it will bring you to stock lockscreen, so it's secure. Just buy it, and take the time to set it up right.
 
I use Handcent text messaging app., which has an option of a pop up window to view and reply (full options) to text over the home screen. (Without having to unlock the phone.) It works really well and will show multiple messages along with the total number, by just swiping across.

Just out of curiosity, can you add widgets and short cuts to the stock lock screen?
