Help HTC Thunderbolt Question

I am on verizon, my girlfriend is on tmobile and so is her whole family. i got the 5 favs on my plan so when i call her it's free. now once the HTC thunderbolt came out she felt inloved with the phone. she says she wants to buy it, unlock it and connected with tmobile. she's got the iphone 4g unlocked with tmobile and she says the same thing could be done with the HTC Thunderbolt, Is it possible to unlock the HTC thunderbolt and have it connect it with tmobile?

Unfortunately your girlfriend is not quite correct...

The HTC Thunderbolt is a CDMA smartphone while T-Mobile supports GSM. The two technologies are not compatible with each other.

Her iphone was from ATT which is GSM as well as T-Mo. You cannot use anything from VZW on T-Mo network. ATT and T-Mo->GSM, VZW->CDMA = no luv, no kids
