okay so heres the story, my wife got her phone stuck in safe mode i couldnt get it out....ignorantly i did a hard reset and now it is stuck on the android screen, my understanding is i deleted all metro pcs data off the phone when i did the hard reset so im wondering if and how i can get it back to when i pulled it out of the box? any and all help will be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

i appreciate your attempt to help the problem for me with that method is that her phone wont enter boot mode where it sticks on the huawei screen instead i only get a purple screen...the good news is i puled the sd card which allowed me to re enter recovery mode i then formatted her sd card on my netbook put it back in the phone randomly turned it on and although its like out of the box it is working again :)

yeah it kicked back into safe mode this morning so idk i give up im sending her to the corp. store to warranty it out, again thanks for your reply to my problem

that didnt help because you have to be able to get into boot loader mode and instead of the solid white huawei screen which indicates you are in boot loader i just got a solid purple screen

but if u have Metro Backup
or its on ur Plan , u can get all ur Contracts back

If anyone knows how to get the phone out of safe mode im all ears the stock reset works but then it goes right back into it?

What happened at the store? If you haven't gone yet we need some info.
Is the phone rooted?
What was she doing last before it started? What app was she running last, etc.
Are you getsometing your apps from the market or some other place like Applanet (be VERY wary)?

We have not went to the store yet we plan to go monday, no she was not rooted and she only gets apps from the market, I had set her up with tethering from her laptop so she could use the internet while at work and my guess is she did somethingwhile in usb debug mode,, thats the only thing i can think of cuz she really didnt use any apps except couple games

Well you aren't rooted so that will help if you have to take it to the store. And she only gets apps from the Market, which is good (even though a few bad ones do slip in but google catches them eventually).

It could be something happened while tethering. I haven't used that so I can't say for certain.

Have you tried doing this (backup your contacts before this if you haven't already):

Menu (button)> Settings> Privacy> Factory data reset

This "should" take you completely back to out of the box (OOB) condition and you will have to reprogram the phone with her gmail account info (make sure you remember the password before you start).
If this does work I would recommend not installing anything for a day or so especially the tethering app (since that is where the suspected issue is) then install the tethering app only and use it. If the problem comes back then you know it is the tethering app. Which one are you using? I'll see if I can find out some information about it that might help you out.
