Root Icarus vs cm 7

Simple question...

Which do you prefer: Icarus or CM7?


Even though cm 7 is a lil buggy on the ascend, I prefer gingerbread over eclair.

Opinions?
 
i had cm7, but i flashed back to icarus 1.1
i think icarus 1.1 is just too flawless, im going to wait till cm7 is just about done with bugs because no doubt cm7 is jus a bit faster/smoother
 
I am holding off on CM7, solely due to the fact that MMS is important to me, and I like the flawless nature of Icarus. Once the bugs are ironed out, I will give CM a fair chance though. Somewhat considering CM6 if it gets finished, simply because it seems to need less forcing to work on the hardware, but we'll see.
 
I might have to change my opinion on this. CM 7 is awesome, but it requires a great deal of patience. I got a lot of force closes, and crashes on things Icarus wouldn't break a sweat on.

I understand completely that this phone is not a main project. So I am grateful either way.
 
why isnt cm6 in this? yall make no sense. ya know cm6 is where it is really at for the ascend right? lol cm7 will always be pretty buggy and slow considering it's not meant for the phone. cm6 on the other hand lol.

my vote would go for cm6, but it's not an option.

agreed. cm6 is smoother and less buggy overall.
the poll needs to be edited.

though i'm on cm7 now (i dont like the almost stock look and feel of 2.2) if cm6 had a black theme available and a few of the cm7 cyan settings i'd switch, hell i'd pay for it np.

I like cm7 too and switched back to it for about the same reasons lol. I know you cant make 2.2 into 2.3, but I've not have no issues with normal operation of the phone with the exception mms dont work.

But I'm a latest greatest kinda guy lol, I'd have a nicer, fancier phone but the wallet wont allow it lol.

I believe there is a black theme that comes with CM6. It's stock black under tweaks extra. I do miss a few of the settings but truthfully i feel that CM6 is better. To each his own. But thanks to isaacj87 and pip2kk for giving us the ability to even compare roms.

Welp I gave it a go, I like CM7 much better lol. CM6 is good, worked fat n smooth. I guess once you get use to 2.3 its hard to go backwards lol.

Hopfully between Pip and isaac they can get mms n a few of the other bugs worked out. Though I know it wont ever be perfect as is was never intended to go on such a lowend phone lol.
 
Well with me i think CM7 was awesome and it was smooth problem my wifi was giving me problem and CM6 camara wouldn't work those things i always need at all times... Icarus because everything work i want
 
Loving CM7 for about a week now. No major problems. Wifi-tether works fine. Mms - no worky but I knew that. Using CWM 3.0.1.4 btw. All good!!

well i need wifi because i have wifi in house and it would not pick it up and camara i need to take pictures sometimes of important things to show people
