NAT strict solution?

Going through a little rough stretch @ the Homefront so I'm posted up in a Hotel room until things cool down. So last night I hooked up the xbox and tethered it to my Inspire 4G using the wifi tether app. works well enough but I get a NAT strict restriction which limits what I can do on xbox live.

Is there a way to open NAT?

If you can figure out a way to open ports on your phone then.. yeah lol

I've seen apps that let you scan your IP to check which ports are open but nothing to trick/open them for yourself. Networking isn't my expertise but if I'm not mistaken, you would need a routing device in order to open ports anyways.

You can turn it to open somewhere in your router settings. (worked for me.)

It's more than just ports. Upnp must be allowed through your phone or through your provider at&t for it to work... You may be sol unless you can rig a vpn through to a location you can control. Unfortunately microsoft still insists on using a old and insecure protocol for gaming. If they set things up to support vpns they could bypass any isp hotel etc. Would be nice if they at least gave us the option.
