Accessories Longer lasting battery?

I know battery life has been a large issue with these phones...and have read many things on extending the life, changing settings, etc...

Anyone have feedback on batteries they have purchased and are using?
I'm f'ed up with how fast this phone dies...I've done most of the tips and tricks that make it last longer...anyone have good experiences with a aftermarket battery they bought? I see some 3000+ on amazon and such but not sure in how they are working ...I'd like my phone to be able to charge for 6-8 hrs and stay chugged for 12 hrs while using it and not worring about it dying...is this possible? Relying on the car charger everyday is getting old fast...

Not 12 hours straight use..12 hrs of it staying on, charged, without dying....I work approx 12 hrs a day..construction... and hate relying on the car charger...
Thanks for your employment advise tho...

Your phone is setup wrong and I like having a 1750mah battery. If you are constantly using the phone its going to drain. For the last time, the EVO drains at 1% an hour in idle mode meaning the phone can last for 4 days on one charge. How the battery drains is based upon the user and your settings.

I use a 3500mah battery and I get 2 days out of it easy. I put my phone in airplane mode while I'm at school though, since I don't receive a signal there. At home I use wifi of course.

I use an SBC kernel too, which really helps in my opinion, cause it takes another three hours after stating 100% to reach full capacity. That makes me wonder if those with stock EVO's are really benefitting from extended batteries.

I have 2 extended batteries which I change once a day. If I have very heavy usage I might have to do some "light" charging in between.

Well then like others have said, my stock EVO battery stays on 36 hours no problem with use. If it dies after idling for 12 hours you have an app using a lot of partial wake or a bad battery.

I am not rooted..thinking about doing it tho for the free hot spot ...
I don't use the phone all day but I do like to use pandora usually just on the ride to work for about a half hour, and then just be able to check emails, respond to txts, make a few calls, etc...
I also don't want to get a battery that requires a larger back case because I am using an otter box defender case and want to continue to use it....do they make a 3500 battery that is the factory size?

I do the same. Some days it'll go 12 hours on one battery. Other days it'll be dead by lunch time. It just depends how i'm using the phone.

I hear nothing but goods things about the 3500 batteries but they require the new battery door and my TPU case wouldn't fit. w/o my TPU I'd have broke this phone several times over from drops so I just deal with swapping batteries.

Yea I don't want to get a bigger battery case or have to swap them out because I'd have to remove the phone from the otter box case to switch batteries...just dosent seem practical ...sucks this battery is so crappy

try the seidio 3500, with its case set up. I had otter box and the seidio case blows it out of the water. the ability to have different carrying for work and play is nice. I would take the standard battery off charger at 0500 or or so and by 4 or 5PM it was pretty DOA. with the 3500 at 900pm it still at 50-60%. tried full run on a weekend got almost 30hrs off full charge. battery BACY35HEV4-BK case BD5-HKR5HEV4X

I just purchased a couple of claimed 1900mAh batteries plus a charger from HTCexpress.com for $22 total, and couldn't be happier. I have only been using the batteries for a week, but they are at least the equal of my Sedio 1750, and probably better. They are original size. I would definitely try those instead of dropping $50 on the Sedio.
