Maps: Real-time updating not available?

I have an Incredible, and my wife has a SF. She can track me via the "Real-time updating" option in Latitude, but on my phone for her the option is grayed out. I can track other people on other phones, but it seems the SF does not allow it? Has she missed some option to allow it on her SF?

BTW, I can see her location, it is just not the real time...

Does it say her location is stale? Is she using the latest "maps"update. Is the settings on her phone set to automatically set location?

If you dont have anything of value, please leave. She asked me to figure it out for her, for planning and coordination issues at home and at work.

Her location is not stale, always updated within the last 90 minutes.

Maps has been updated to 5.3.1, and her phone has been updated to Android 2.2. The settings in her phone are set to automatically set location.
