What's Your Favorite Feature/s About The Evo 3D?

CrazyTechnoBoy

Android Enthusiast
My favorite features about the phone is HTC Sense 3.0, the 1.2 GHz Dual Core processor, and the 540x960 QHD screen. Personally, 3D isn't really a big deal. With or without the 3D, the phone is still a BEAST! :D

Despite how much I've posted about the 3D, my favorite feature is the increased pixel density. But most likely, my favorite feature will evolve as I use the phone. Such was the case with the Evo.

-edit-
also, based on all the hands-on vids I've seen, the graphics are as buttery smooth as iOS devices, and definite way smoother than anything I've seen on my Evo. Should be good eye candy overall. Great polish.

And the only reason I'm gushing about the aesthetic improvements is because it goes without saying that the functional side of this phone is off the charts.

I'd probably say it has to be the 3D capabilities. Most people see it as a "gimmick"(whatever that means) but I see it as a way to capture beautiful content and will open me up to the world of Glasses Free 3D content since I don't have a 3Dtv etc. 3D gaming is now open up to the EVO, and will bring a world of innovation. I can't recount the number of times I've recorded something on my EVO4G and wondered "Man I wonder how good this would look in 3D". No more limitations with the E3D :)

To be fair, I probably should add that if the camera/video is of higher quality (out of the box) than the EVO's were, this will probabl have me excited as well. I am not a photographer, and don't expect for people to take DSLR quality pics, but I think it's reasonable to say that these cameras should be approaching the quality of cheaper digicams ($150-$200) in the industry.

pixel density

After nHD on a 2.9" screen and WVGA on a 3.5" screen, seeing the massive pixels on my friends DHD (and other friends SGS's - more a pentile matrix issue), I could not consider them for purchase easily

You shouldn't be able to see the pixels

True. I would just HATE to see the pixels. I already thought that the Evo's screen was awesome (coming from the Instinct's 240 X 432 screen, which was "okay."), and it still gets better? Damn!

I have a 4 year old Samsung Instinct which has a res of 240x400 or something, I'm mostly waiting for the qHD resolution to blow my mind. :)

Also, the updated CPU/GPU looks very nice.

What is most interesting to me is probably the 3D feature, and qHD screen.

The GPU and CPU are nice, but I don't see them making a huge difference in the daily use over the current Evo or Thunderbolt

If and when Android starts getting games on par with iOS, then the improved Evo3D CPU and GPU will actually be valuable.

It's the 3D that's grabbing my attention, but I'll want to try it out and see it in a shop before I commit. I've a few months to go before I can upgrade so there's plenty of time for other phones to be released, but I do find the idea of recording 3D vids appealing, even if I only ever watch them on the handset itself.

I'd have to say the CPU.. I'm on the EVO, which is single core.. Also, the qHD screen, more vibrant with colors then the EVO. Lol. Also, the 3D option is quite interesting.. Wouldn't use it much, but looks pretty legit. Over all I'd give this phone a 4.6 rating out of 5.

I like the new Sense and the Bluetooth 3.0. With MAP bluetooth support I should be able to get text messages on display in my car with Sync.

I look forward to plugging it into my tv, and hopefully down the road getting one with DLNA or whatever it's called, the wireless mirroring on the tv.

Most excited that It is going to be my first smartphone.

so basically everything:

nice pictures, video, fast web browsing, widgets, big screen, games, useful apps, replace my ipod, fun 3d ability, google powered, tethering, checking my forums & facebook, maybe get me into twitter, most of all i can rub it in my friend's face who loves everything that Apple puts out and consistently tells me how superior they are to android.

I'm super pumped.

Same here... I'm about to get the Sharp LC60LE835U TV. Since I'm in the market for a for a new TV, figure this will really work out well together with the EVO 3D.

Anyone have any first hand experience with this TV?

I know its early, but thanksgiving is coming up, and I thought, "Why not make a thread on what you're thankful for in your new 3D..."

For me, you ask?
- That's easy! The boot time this phone has from no battery in to battery in and power button down. (Comes in handy since ViperRom is so unstable and crashes twice a day...minimum. Too lazy to d/l and flash something else that's more finalized and fully functional as a daily driver.)

Lol, a "little" early? This reminds me of the stores that put out Christmas stuff 3 months in advance! ;)

Even so, sounds fun so I'll chime in. I'm thankful for the beautiful screen, Android 2.3.4, Sense 3.0 (which I happen to like), MHL, the 3D aspect itself, the great dev community and support, the fact that it is HTC and we actually receive updates, and the fast processor. Oh, and fact that this phone is available on Sprint, which at least for now has the best pricing and true unlimited data and I happen to get smokin' 3G and at times 4G. :D
