Lurker
I had an original Droid rooted running a OC kernel and Sapphire. I intend to root solely to remove the stupid bloatware included with the phone as I am happy with the Thunderbolts stock speed and UI...
But, some how thatPVMtpServiceStart keeps starting up even though the Blockbuster app has had updates disabled. Only happenes every so often.
Also with GPS it seems to take my phone FOREVER to connect to GPS. I can stand next to a buddy of mine with his Thunderbolt and if we open maps at the same time, his will connect long before mine. Is this something I need to take to Verizon? I just want to work this out before I do root, especially if it's a situation where they need to exchange phones. I remember people having issue after issue with the OG Droid but I stuck with my first one and it never gave me any issues even after the abuse I put it through.
btw, not sure if it makes a difference but I bought this Thunderbolt on release day. Maybe early ones have quirks? I remember it took a while for it to find 3g while I was at Verizon. They said it was just because the phone was looking for 4g and we didn't have it yet though...
