Root CM7 And Cricket Internet Cuts itself off!

Hello,
Everyone,

I have viewed alot of tuts, resources etc on flashing the huawei ascend etc. I have successfully Flashed My Wifes & Mine phones to cm6 as well cm 7.
I have a question becuase the cm 7 after a short while everything "Market & Browser etc" gets a network error! When you go into settings and disable data and reenable data, It works again. So That means that the cricket Net on The phone is shutting itself off on the CM7 Flash! CM6 Does not do it.

I have tried searching with no luck here on prepaid and google. Does anyone know of or has fixed that issue as i would love to go back to the cm7 flash. Sucks when it does that becuase google voice and others require constant connection.
Any help is appreciated.

do you have the latest build of cm7, 05072011 there was a little bug in the mac address, but it is fix now...:D
 
Hmm Not sure if i do ill have to check. Just incase where can i d/l that build from? I use totes tut and no its the CM7-Ascend-04162011-signed Thanks bud i will try to find the newest one any wheres to start looking? Cm7 post i hope lol.

Having same same/similar problem. The 3G logo goes grey from green and then no network access turning on wifi does not resolve. using the latest build 5142011 have been flashing this CM7 since 572011 release with same issue though out all builds constant network error.
 
I have not had this problem, sometimes my wifi will error when connecting but no problem with 3G. Stupid questions but, have you tried airplane mode, rebooting, *228 or the dreaded re flash?
 
*228 Really? Doubt that would help at all, but i will try that .I have re-flashed several times. Used Icarus 1.1 no issues CM7 any build after some time 3G goes grey no internet, no market etc. get constant network error when doing anything that requires the internet. Tunr on WIFI it also turns grey no internet then will turn green again and work shortly I stream Tune In radio all day on orig Rom. and 1.1 with no problems . CM7 any build so far gives problem. Get only 90kbps on the down load and 420 kbps on the up side with CM7 never speed test the orig rom. Have 4 bars at my shop all the time! WIFI speeds are great but once the little WIFI logo goes grey hang it up not getting any internet love till i reboot the phone, then a few min. after reboot same prob. I can't be the only one with this issue.
 
I suggest *228 because i have no clue what could be causing the problem and anything is worth a try. Not too many people have had this problem. From what i see only 2, this thread is kind of short. Sorry i could not be of more assistance, hope you figure it out. Good luck.
 
Not trying to be rude, I will take any help offered. I should indicate that the Grey I am speaking of is not the normal dark grey you see when no bars are present the green bars actually turn to a light silver grey color to be more specific. Thanks again for any help!! Might I ask which build you are currently using?
 
I would just stick with CM6 until CM7's bugs are more worked out.

I was debating on the two, but went with CM6 just because I wanted one that was efficient and not going to mess up on me.

Im a very impatient and irritable individual, lol.
 
I didn't think you were rude, emotion is kind of lost in the text. Didn't mean to sound offended.lol I am on build (05142011).
 
The only bugs i have seen in CM7 is the iphone mms and of course the bar code scanner, both are irrelevant to me. I ran CM6 for a while but with the last few builds CM7 is solid.
 
I just wish could figure this out was streaming Tune in app and all was good then as usual the internet turned off or whatever everything looks ok tbut no internet cant access market the web etc. fix permis, reboot format all things needed to be formated then reinstalled 5142011 and then install the update and the gapps. wait the only thing havent tried was to install and then not install the gapps and try it b4 installing gapps ill try that and report will be much later as i am at work with lots of work to get done today.
 
Does it only happen with that app or after using this app? If so it may be the culprit. I have been browsing, market and youtube with no such result.
 
I have downed a lot of radio apps the app usage is (seems)irrelevant. the 3G with the two little arrows above will turn what appears white and the bars also lets say ii got three bars then the first three will turn white and the last will remain the dark grey. then no internet iheart or market or the browser no love cant connect then will eventually get a "A network Error has occuredblajhblah" you tube quits anything that requires internet access emails everything dont need to be srtreaming anythjing can be hiolding the phone while idle and watch the bars turn white then turn on wifi and will go right to white no access but connected turn off wifi same still white then may be will turn green for a little while then back white I will try and get a video of this but like i said will most likely be tomorrow be for i can even post photos of the issue
 
Flashed back to recovery ROM. Original Cricket Stock backup from before all the flashing. I have been up and running now for about 7 hours of straight streaming and internet use with not one hiccup? So if any one knows what causes the internet to go down on CM7 pleez help me out!! The 3G and/or WIFI icons turn white and then there is no internet access of any kind. Can't even send/receive texts but can use the phone for calls during the "white Out" issue. After some time for no apparent reason all is good icons change colors back to normal and everything works for a few moments then back white again with no access . So please any help I have scoured the internet to no resolution.
