Congratulations. Just switch it on for goodness sake.
I didn't wait and just used it till the battery was low then used it while charging too.
How do you find the screen, pretty amazing eh?
I had an OLED screen on my N85 but the AMOLED is better and the resolution is ace too.
When I look at my iPod Touch after using the N1 the screen looks washed out and the text is blurry. It takes a minute to adjust to it. Yuck!
 
ok, i'm giving in, it's been over an hour. should I a) keep it plugged in whilst playing or b) use it unplugged and then re-plug it in a little while.

If you guys make the decisions for me, I don't have to blame myself when the battery lasts 20minutes.

Actually.. Need to go to Uni now anyway.. (already 15 minutes late) So I will leave it charging and play with it when I get back.

And btw.. Where's the manual?! I'm one of those rare cases that loves to read manuals and was saddened to see the phone doesn't come with one :(. I'm guessing there's one online? Or maybe in phone memory?
 
ugggh, what the hell. how do i get rid of the hundreds of people that have turned up in my contacts from my gmail account? most of these people i've not emailed for YEARS and have no contact with anymore.

I was actually looking forward to an empty contacts list to add just people i actually talk to instead of 400 entries of people I can't remember.
 
you can either turn the synch off for the whole account, change the synch so it only synchs certain groups, or just delete the ones you dont want manually
 
You sure you synced your contacts? Contacts => sync groups
Or you can import them from your SIM too => contacts => "menu" => import

This is on Android 1.5 but should be more or less the same on 2.1

See, after discovering the 500 odd unwanted contacts I disabled contacts sync. So that'd be why it wasn't syncing, funnily enough :rolleyes:

Right. I actually have to go out and return my router before o2 charge my
 
I can't believe Oniongirl that you have your phone already! I'm pretty sure that mine was on the same flight but for some reason it appears to be stuck at East Midlands saying that it's "scheduled to move" whatever that means.... Suspect that it will be Monday now before I get mine :-(

Oh no!! That sucks. Sounds like they ran out of van space or something. Where abouts do you live? Mine went from East Midlands to Gatwick and then to here, I'm in Hertfordshire. Seems odd actually, I'm almost exactly in the middle of East Midlands and Gatwick (maybe 20 mins closer to Gatwick), and yet they first ship it past me and then back up again.

Anyway, don't give up hope yet. I once had a delivery that turned up at half past 9 at night! Think it may have been DHL as well!

Sorry to hear that it's stuck. A bit strange that the others went through okay. Might have been a cock up on paperwork from Google or DHL.:confused:
 
Or maybe you were a lucky individual selected at random for a package check. You'll have to see if the wrapping looks strange.
