Battery cover that doesnt block the speakers?

So I've noticed that the sound levels on this phone REALLY suck, And I noticed that once I took the battery cover off it sounded much much better. Is there any type of battery cover I could buy that has more room for the speakers aside from the two slots on the stock cover? Or would I have to just make my own?

Samsung is a great product... Once you fix all their mistakes... you have come across another mistake...

I guess you can work on customizing a new cover or just dealing with what you have.

I've noticed that too. The slots only expose half the speaker. I've considered cutting new slots as well, but don't want to muck it up.

I believe you can just "ask" at a store for a replacement one because your "fell off". It works, supposedy.

5.30$ seems like a fine price too pay for a boosted volume. Now the tricky part is going about the actual cutting. Any ideas?

Use a Dremel with a small grinding wheel. Expand the opening to match the size of the camera opening. It looks like its supposed to be that way if you do it right.

They didn't. The case was designed with that opening for a camera flash (two high wattage LED) but then the design changed mid way to reduce cost since Metro wanted the phone to be cheaper. The speaker wasnt meant to be there originally

Maybe my hearing is bad...but I don't really notice a difference in the volume of the speaker whether or not the battery cover is on or off. It's still too damn low even when you take the battery cover off.

my volume is pretty damn loud. i use it to play music in my office and people pretty far away can hear it fine.

Could it maybe be a phone issue? As in like a hardware issue? My phone is pretty damn low, And its honestly kind of annoying. This shit makes me miss my droid, And I'd gladly put it on metro if 3g compatibility worked. Not that this phone is bad mind you, Its a great phone despite its bullshit. My droid ringtone sucks to hear because its just so weak sounding. :(

Yeah the sound does kind of suck. But test the difference on a hard surface versus a soft. Also test with you hand about an inch away from the speaker while watching something on the phone versus nothing behind the phone while watching some sort of media.

You will notice a difference.

I was thinking the only way to truly fix the speaker issue is to also come up with a way for the ear speaker to also play along with the back speaker. That way the sound is maximized all around the phone.

My volume is much lower on this phone compared to my BB 8330. Music (media) sounds OK, but my notifications and speaker volume are fairly low at full volume up.

My ringtones are loud enough but could be louder..I don't feel they are too low tho.

Make sure the volume is all the way up on the phone and ringtone when downloading it...it might help because that's the way I do it.
