New netflix app

edit: ok if you edit your build.prop to say model nexus s manufacturer samsung, this breaks integrated swype and maybe some other things though

Well I have gotten further than I ever have before. I am on Gingerbread with Apex Alpha 2.0 and I can login pick a movie, it takes me to a screen to watch it and I can move the slider and it will buffer but no movie will play. I am going to try Wifi when I get home tonight as I am suing 3G right now.

Yep. It let me stream. Others are reporting the same on Droid Life.

Mine went to a white screen for a looooong time. Maybe you just need to try again? Also, are you using network time (Automatic time in the settings)?

I tried a couple times and it loaded. Now I get to the same place I got from the last app. I go to stream a show, it loads for a while and says it could not contact Netflix. I would love to find out why this is working for some and not for others. I would even load back some bloat to get Netflix working

I'm lucky it works for me i'm on .595 Deodexed no apps frozen. Has anyone tried real hdmi and the netflix app yet? I don't have a cable otherwise I would try it for you guys.

Same. Even updated Flash and re-installed the apk. Not the end of the world since I use PlayOn but if it's a simple matter of restoring a piece of bloat I'd do it. Waiting to see what happens.

Just tried on stock DX. I am able to install the app and manage my queue. I am unable to stream video.

I get a popup box that says "Netflix is not supported on this device. Please check the Netflix website for a list of supported devices."

Ok I think what tells it is the build prop, can someone who has netflix working please post their build.prop

no dice on .591 Apex 2.0 rooted, I'm going to flash .595 and give it a shot. assuming i don't bootloop since i'm still new at all this flashing nonsense.
