What keyboard do you use

Juat cannot get Swype to work on my phone no matter what menu options I choose.

Plus I'm not keen on the idea of the developers having access to the letters I'm typing....

I used to use the htc one, but now use the gingerbread one.

What I like about the Gingerbread keyboard:
- The punctuation that appears in the bar above the keyboard when you press space after a word. For me it's the quickest way to insert question marks for example.
- Clicking on any word in the message will give you alternatives

What I like about the HTC keyboard:

- Spelling correction is the best I have ever seen. Better than gingerbread. My standard test for this is if it corrects the word "keybaord" to "keyboard". HTC does this, gingerbread doesn't.

So, my question is: is there any keyboard out there that has ALL of the features above?

You can try it for free for about 14 days before they come asking for spondoolies. And even then it's well worth the couple of quid that you pay. :D

Really? I assumed it would have the 15minute refund limit. 14 days is enough time to play, so I may well do that, thanks!

I've been using Swift Keyboard for about 6 months, I love it. I'm lazy and having it learn the way I speak to awesome. It's literally six taps to send: Hey, how are you?

So fast. I have Swype and Gingerbread Keyboard, I like to change now and then haha!

I've just switched from swipe to SlideIT for the15 day trial which should be enough time to get used Rio it. (I'm topping thus in SlideIT add we speak - no corrections-so forgive my errors)

Thumb Keyboard or Android keyboard.
Am I the only person that can't deal with Swype?

Sometimes I found it brilliant then sometimes when I wanted to do something the keyboard didn't know it turned into a war between me and the keyboard.
Got sick of fighting it after a while so went back to normal tap keyboard.
Maybe slower but at least it types what I damn-well tell it to type..... usually.

Can't agree with you more!
I loved swype but hated a couple of things.
1. The double letters
2. My language not supported in there beta (Dutch)

I'm using swiftkey most of the time and HTC IME MOD for english ^^

I've tried to use a couple of these mentioned here, yet, although I tick the box to switch keyboard, it is the original keyboard that remains...

Any idea as to why?

You do 2 things

1) Select the alternative keyboard in langauge and keyboard settings to enable it.

2) Long press on a text input field > Input method (to select the keyboard)

Just installed the Gingerbread keyboard and loving it. Big thumbs up from me. Much much more accurate than the stock HTC one. Thanks guys for this thread.

Smart Keyboard Pro (with 3DKey skin) and SlideIT depending on my situation or which one I feel like using.

Swype just expired on me today on my LG...
