Just wanted to let others know that I got a message today from cuskit explaining the delay with apologies, a partial refund, and a promise to get it shipped tomorrow.

Assuming it gets shipped tomorrow, I'd say that is great customer service.

Things happen. It's how you handle those things that makes the difference.

Will post as soon as I get it.
 
I got the same email with a partial refund which certainly wasn't necessary! I can't wait to get it and will probably order a black one when they are available if all is well.

Customer service like this is hard to find these days!

I previously ordered a Droid case and found it ridiculous that a case will not fit into the standard Moto docks. I like the idea of an alternative dock, but these designs are much too old-school for a cutting edge smart phone! I am looking for a dock that is F-117, angular, modern, minimalist, and as sleek as you can create for my phone. The "Mikradle" design right now just looks like something that my grandma might buy... Impress me with a cutting edge design and you will earn my $$$ for several of them!
 
Wow, these look absolutely stunning. Great job, love the design, and of course support always helps. Personally I'm not going to purchase one, I don't have any need for one, and I don't use a case for my Droid either.
It's great to see that you're giving back to the community, and also fulfilling what has to be your creative niche. Kudos!
 
Okay - I'm back! For those who didn't know - I was temporarily restricted from posting as my ad for MIKRADLE was taken as spam (and rightfully so). As of today I'm allowed to post again. However - NO ADS will be posted here! My apologies to any who were offended by the ads. It won't happen again. Should any wish to see ads for MIKRADLE, they can do so over at droidforums.net where I have signed on as a Supporting Vendor beginning in the next couple of weeks.

I do wish to thank all here for the absolutely awesome response I've gotten as reflected from the volume of purchases. Some have wondered about the delay in shipping, I have had a serious medical illness in my family and as such orders placed just before the holidays up until early this week were not sent out within the time frame posted on the description. I had also fallen way behind in the actual production of the units. As of this coming Monday (Jan 18) - all MIKRADLES ordered prior to Jan 12 will have been shipped out. Those ordered after Jan 12 through present day will be shipped on Wednesday, Jan 19th. I thank all of you for your patience! And also the accolades and compliments that are now beginning to pour in as buyers have begun receiving their shipments this past week. It's been a hectic three weeks - but we are now back on track.

As I am going to follow the Rules and Guidelines here about Spamming - I would respectfully request that any having questions about MIKRADLE please PM me for the time being - we are soon debuting our new website with information relative to the new black colors as well as many other new and exciting models soon to be released. That website link will be posted in my Signature within the next week. Of course - discussions about MIKRADLES are still allowed in this thread, and welcomed. As well as the opinions of those who have ordered and received theirs and wish to post their experience using the MIKRADLE.

So - once again - thank you all! And my profuse thanks to the Androidforums Staff for their tolerance and patience with me, and the very professional manner in which they kept communications open between myself and the Administration and Moderators. You've got a great venue here, and I respect the wonderful job they are doing!

Any ETA on the "Stealth Edition"? Will it be the same except for the color (black) or has the design evolved as well?

The Stealth Series are not quite complete yet. The design will be different than the Classic Series (Cherry, Walnut, Oak and Mahogany currently advertised). There will be two separate Stealth Series Models, that's all I can offer at the present time.

However - the Classic Series will be available in Ebony (A Black Wood Grain Stain) as well as Black (Solid Color) within two days. Listings for sale will be posted as of Wednesday, January 27.

BLACK MIKRADLES are up and running now on our eBay presence. Wow! I can't believe the response to this BLACK color! I originally thought most people would want to match their furniture (desk, night table, coffee table, etc) but it appears that BLACK sales might match the other four flavors total, if this weeks numbers continue! The magnet sure blends in well with the BLACK. Anyway - thanks to all who have already placed their orders - they'll begin shipping out Monday - you should have them within 2-4 business days (USPS First Class Mail).

Maybe I should have introduced this color on Black Friday? That would have been a killer! :) cuskit

Because, you know, your thread was soooo much worse than all of those discreet "I found this great app..." threads that are started by people new to the forum and never seen again. :cool: At least you were honest about your intentions.

Anyway, glad you're back, and congratulations on the success you are having with your dock. Sorry to hear about the illness in your family, I hope they are feeling better.
 
Even though they are not my style I just want to compliment you on how nice they look. You should be very proud of yourself.

I thank you for your kind words as well as your encouragement. To ease concern on the family illness - the future is looking a bit brighter, albeit a long tough road ahead. Thanks to all who have voiced their concern and sympathy for this malady.

I can say one thing - MIKRADLE sales have led to me to communicating with many new faces - and lots of friendships are being born as a result. Because I build each and every unit by hand myself - I put a lot of my own character and self pride into each one. Those attributes are being recognized by those purchasing and being relayed back in the form of flattering compliments and praise. I made a commitment when first starting this endeavor to not just produce a plain old wooden platform and throw a coat of varnish on them. Instead, I put in lots of time shaping, molding and sanding them, followed by seven coats of lacquer hand rubbed to create the ultimate finish. I've always taken a lot of pride in my work and wanted to ensure each and every one of these reflect the same workmanship and dedication I put into the full size cabinetry I work on every day.

This fortitude comes back to me with each email I receive once a buyer receives their MIKRADLE and recognizes the fact that it's more than just an object. They are truly crafted pieces of art. And I get a ton of satisfaction hearing the ensuing words of gratitude and pleasure, and find it remarkable how hands are reaching across this country (as well as abroad) in offerings of friendship. And count my blessings as I realize how just a few simple pieces of wood assembled together can impart the magnetic appeal and kinship born out of each and every sale.

As such - again, just as I do on droidforums.net - I want to reiterate my words of thanks and gratitude for the absolutely wonderful reception I've received to this cottage business I've undertaken. Thanks all! :) cuskit
