Don't know, but it's never been uncommon for those guys in particular to list parts early.

Apparently you can buy pretty much the entire phone for around 80 bucks

Cool idea for someone to buy an extra back and paint the red trim any color of their choice.

I shouldn't fan the release date flames, and I'm jumping the gun totally here. But if that's an OEM HTC part then this phones release should be imminent right? They wouldn't manufacture parts and not get them rolled out within a quarter of a year would they? (July release date would be 4 months) This phone must be in Sprint's hand or darn near it and Sprint is putting the final touches on the software?

Good to see I'm not alone in wanting different colors there I think that would be a smart play by HTC/Sprint.

I agree, its very sharp looking, and adds Great function along with protection. 20 bucks would be a fair price, but considering its made by HTC, I wouldnt be surprised if its 30 - 35. either way, I'll pry pay it. lol

I don't know why, but I've always found that red sets me on edge when I see it. I think it looks nice, but if I can get a trim in another color, that will be what will happen.

After looking at the OEM back cover, I'm more convinced that they found a way to make an optional "replacement" cover, rather than just a case.

Yes, that's my understanding as well - it replaces the original rear access battery service hatch (or whatever we're calling the cover!).
