3dEvo: Pre-release miscellany

My guess is that the web address is Sprints intranet site since thats an internal use only document. It didnt work for me either.

I also like how one of the features says "Dad can see the ball leave the park even if he missed the game". I wonder if the person writing that is a little upset about their dad missing the home run they hit back in 8th grade ;)

That worries me too. Although, it is dated 5/25 and I from what I understand it is published weekly. If thats the case, then there is still a chance. Although, I cannot verify this.

I think you are right because every week it said new edition of the playbook, so just because it wasn't listed to be released that doesn't mean that they didn't leave it off intentionally since things like this have a way of leaking out. As secretive as they have been, this wouldn't surprise me at all.

For all of you guys who are so sure Sprint will announce the release date at a Nascar event I have to ask...

Has sprint ever announced any phone's release date at a Nascar event?

If they are just trying to get the biggest audience, then they would do it on a Super Bowl commercial, and then every commercial after that would remind us of the date.

That's not how Sprint works. They will probably schedule some event in New York, invitation only, show a screening of Transformers 3D before it hits theaters, and demo the final shipping version of the phone while giving a release date and price.

Why do we even study history if we don't learn from it?

In this case the only thing that has followed Sprints history is the announcement at CTIA, otherwise nothing has been their normal MO.

I think it's interesting that Sprint will begin charging online registration fees after 6/5 just in time for the 3vo.

This is the key. All the obnoxious hee haws that were using that annoying push to talk BS watch Nascar, so this is why Sprint is a sponsor. I dunno if they'll renew or not, but that was why.

LMAO....tell us how you truly feel about the customers from Nextel and NASCAR.....LMAO "hee haws" Okay, back to focusing on 3D now...LMAO....Sorry.

I read some place Sprint is trying to bring push to talk back with advances in the technology or something like that.

It never left as far as I know, its on the Nextel side. Sprint is developing an upgraded CDMA version due out in Q3 and Q4 that is supposed to be just as good as the Nextel version. I think this is due to the upcoming demise of Nextel, as well as Sprint's "Network Vision" and "Project Leapfrog" network upgrades.

With the released information today about the playbook I am thinking more and more that this phone has some software problems and thats whats delaying it.

If it is delayed a lot (like the thunderbolt) Sprint will have the Photon and Galaxy SII coming out within very short time of the EVO 3d. Will be very bad for the E3D.

well there goes that theory.. They had a nice 2 min segment on the 3D.. but said coming this summer, so no release date. (NASCAR)

Well they just did their little thing with the E3D on Nascar.

They didnt show anything about the phone. Not even a close up of the screen or anything.

Again this is leading me to beleive they are having some software problems with this phone. and this is why we havent been seeing a lot of it

Uh..... that guy ran away with the phone before she could do the demo

Rumors on another forum from "someone who has inside info" is stating the phone is still having lots of problems with crashing and Sprint trying to get it out end of June or early July.

Take it for what its worth.

The people who "know someone who knows someone" also tend to be the same people that live in their parent's basements and play lots of warcraft.

The consensus for the Evo3D has always been June, to early July. Considering the Evo1 is not even a year old year, that's a damn timely sequel.

what are you talking about? do you know something we arent aware of? care to enlighten us?

eric got it :P

If you read that statement and it isn't true, it will repeat again tomorrow. If it's not true then, it repeats the day after. Repeat until it actually becomes true. It's a joke about all this date speculation :P

Just stop talking about the phone. Let's see if anyone from Sprint or HTC monitors this forum. If they do, they will see nobody cares about the phone if we stop talking about it. If they don't monitor this forum it will be business as usual for those companies. I'm going to vote they don't care about this forum.
