What retailer will you be buying your Evo 3D from?

Now that we know (roughly) a release date and the few major retailers, The Shack and Best Buy, who will be selling the Evo 3D alongside Sprints kiosks, I am wondering where everybody will be buying their 3vo from. Of the three, is there a reason to go to one over the other? I dont have a trade in and will be switching from AT&T to Sprint at the time of my purchase.

Having been an iphone user for the past four years I have had limited experience purchasing cell phones from anyone other than Apple. Now that I have seen the light and am ready to make the leap to Android I want to make sure I am getting the best buying experience possible.

I guess what Im asking is does it matter who I buy it from or does it really come down to who has the best launch deals?

Thanks!

I always buy my phones from the network it's on. I had a Razr and got it from a private AT&T store, bought the iPhone 3GS from corporate AT&T store. I'm buying the 3D from a Sprint Store.

Oh and btw does anyone know if ALL sprint stores are accepting pre orders I called one and they said not yet. I don't know if it was private or corporate, and I want pre order the phone ASAP.

Sprint store. Want to be sure to get the $125 cash back and I think that's the only way I can get my corporate discount.

It seems to depend upon the store. I know I called one store last Monday and they told me no. I called a week later and they were. This is in comparison to other people who have been placing orders with Sprint for a couple of weeks.

As for where, I'm undecided right now. I have a pre-order for 2 phones at Bestbuy and 2 phones pre-ordered at Sprint.

I have purchased my phones through Sprint whether online or at my local corporate store. Never pre- ordered one though but do want to pre-order this one. I was told last week by my local corporate store that they were not taking pre-orders yet. I haven't decided who I will go through this time but most likely it will be the Sprint store.

Thanks for the feedback everybody! I was thinking Sprint store myself but wasnt sure if there were advantages to go to an outside retailer.

I just stopped by one of my local stores and found out two things. One, they are not taking pre orders but will write down your name and call you when they are. That leads me to believe that its on a store by store basis as far as pre orders go. And two, just because I had to :D, I asked them if the June 24th date was legit. They said, and this is from their manager, that they couldnt guarantee that date but they could guarantee a June launch. She tossed out June 4th and June 17th for good measure too... not sure if she was trying to trip me up or what but I found it to be good information. Better than what I had gotten from them in the past!

I've always purchased through Sprint but if I can get another $100 off going through Radio Shack using the trade in I'll probably do that (unless Sprint has something similar).

I will probably get mine from the store, why pay now when I can pay a month later interest free by having them just charge it to my account.

I did RadioShack for the Evo 4g last year I'm trying Best Buy this year. My local Sprint store wasn't doing pre-orders yet so I choose to go somewhere that was. First person to do so at Best Buy lol.

I just sent some old text books to Amazon's buy back program, and got 200 bucks in Amazon.com credit... think I may use it for the EVO 3D. Anyone have good or bad experiences with Amazon for cell phones?? I am eligible for full upgrade from Sprint, NOW. Thanks in advance. :)

You know I never thought of that, but was aware that it could be done on accounts. I think I will hop over to Sprint and do something like that. I won't have an upgrade for sometime so I'm looking to buy it outright, I wonder if they will allow me to pay half now, and place the remaining balance on my monthly bill?

If they didn't, you could charge the whole thing and then go home and pay half with credit card maybe?

I always go to Sprint cause it can be billed to your account. And I thought the phone would be out june 4th so I already sold my EVO back to Sprint and I got 150. I know RS is doling a 100 but Sprint said the sooner you do it before the 3D comes out the more you'll get. had it on Craigs List and one guy was a no show and I decided not to mess with Craigs list anymore and Sprint Customer Care offered me a one time 100 dollar credit to my bill if I resigned. So I will have 250 bucks in credit on my bill so I will go to Sprint and charge it to my account.

But I heard the 100 dollar instant rebate and the 125 port credit goes away on the 23rd and the phone wont be out till the 24th. I know someone mentioned getting the 125. And whoevers store said could be June 4th could be June 17th the RS ad already says the 24th. Has Sprint ever released a phone a week or so earlier then BB or RS before? I don't now but it would be nice if they did but I doubt they will. I bet it's the 24th. But I have to wait 3 weeks and I am upset I gave my EVO away so soon especially with GB rolling out this weekend. And I thought it was gonna roll out after the 3D.

I'm not going to pre-order or even commit to buying one till after I get hands on experience, but if I do decide to get an Evo 3D it will be at my local Sprint corporate store.

This is a very good question. I, myself, have never bought a phone from anywhere other than the carrier retailer itself.

Are there any advantages/differences between BB, RS, and Sprint?

I know of the $125 port credit offered by sprint, but that is scheduled to end on the 6/23. And RS's $100 credit wont apply to me because I wont be trading in a 4G. So not considering those two promotions, is there any key things to keep in mind? (stuff like warranties, return policies, etc)

I'm buying mine at Best Buy. Can we get Sprint Damage Protection Insurance on the phone even if we buy it with Best Buy? I don't want Best Buy's Warranty. I want the Sprint Insurance Coverage.

Thats a smart choice in my opinion. Yes, you can add Sprints insurance even if you purchase from BB. Just call Sprint after you get your phone, and they will add it.

It's pretty simple....It comes down to price and availability. I have ordered from Sprint, but I have also ordered phones in the past from both RS and BB. The benefits of ordering it from Sprint is that they can apply it to your account, and I personally trust them more regarding my plan and any other questions I might have when I go in there compared to third party retailers. The major disadvantage is if there is a mail-in rebate. I will never order from a Sprint store when they require a mail-in rebate. I have all three stores within a 5 mile radius of each other, so location makes no difference to me, but it may to you. For the Evo 4g, I chose RS over BB simply because BB didnt have any in stock. When I got my Samsung Moment when it first came out (bad decision), I went with Best Buy because they have some pretty neat buy back programs. Also, Sprint has a 30 day return policy at which point they will charge you $30 restocking fee. Not sure about BB or RS. I personally think it's always a good idea to wait until the phone comes out (or atleast pricing at each location) and then decide where to get it from. Typically, they all have the same price at first.
