There is an "sd speed increase" app on the market. Auto killer memory optimizer has that to as well as other tweaks.

basically when you transfer files from your computer to your sd card and vice versa. the speed is much better than previous build of velocity. i was getting 10MB/s.

That was the first thing I thought of but I didn't see anything that looked like a devil.
