Task Manager Auto-End List and SystemPanel Lite a Great Combination to Address Memory Issues?

Just wanted to share a program duo that helped me speed up my DX2:

So the built-in Task Manager in the DX2 has an "Auto-end list" where you can specify programs that should be automatically closed within two minutes of the display being turned off. I added lots of programs I was surprised to see had been running in the background. I didn't add any (like Pandora) that are sometimes used while the display is turned off.

I then downloaded SystemPanel Lite from the Android Market to verify memory usage by application and found a few more to put on the Auto-end list or freeze with Titanium Backup Pro (including Calendar 2.2.2 and Cardock).

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but I haven't seen it. I've seen a noticeable improvement in my phone's performance. And it might be enough to keep me from returning my DX2.

I added 41 applications so they're really too numerous to list individually. Basically, any applications that I don't need to sync in the background (so I left Gmail alone) or have running when the screen is off (like Phandroid, Browser, Facebook (I'll refresh manually, thanks), Livescores, Wapedia, Youtube).

It does not really help a much as it could. ATM I have no user apps open and only 33mb of free ram (and the device functions like it).

I now have ~130 available upon startup. Will work to free up more.

Not mine (about 90 to 100mb tops and sometimes breaches 120mb), but it whittles' away in a few hours (20mb goes away within a minute or two), depending on app use and does not come back. Start-up ram is kind of useless though, if it only hangs around for a few minutes or if uoi do not mess with apps.

There is a leak and an allocation issue, IMO.

I added quite a few apps to the auto end list and did the fix at (http://androidforums.com/motorola-droid-x2/348325-fix-many-performance-problems-dx2.html) and i have 100mb avg free. runs sooooo much faster now. music still skips every once in a while but the phone does react faster.

I gave up on the dx2 for now,returned it( Which I hated doing,I almost didnt)....the only way mine ran snappy was to not install more than 5 apps or so...If I still had it,Id love to try this trick.....
