Just to add a data point, I've had my Incredible for about 3 months, and keep the brightness set at 50%. I ran Dead Pixel Detect and saw absolutely no evidence of any burn-in or burn-out.

Yes. Lcd does not suffer from burn in... Just lame, grey images.
GHOST IMG. OR thats what the tech called them at best buy when i took mine back. they sell a dvd that can get rid of it. i wounder if someone will make an app for us
There's another app on the market called jScreenFix, made to fix stuck pixels. It runs a color static pattern.
Wow. I wouldn't have thought they would burn out that quickly. I think changing the wallpaper every few days has allowed me to delay the burn in for a longer period of time.People were noticing that issue about 3-6 months in. especially around the clock if you have a blue background up. (blue pixels burn out first on amoled.) I'll see if I can find the original thread.

Thanks for digging this up, I never saw it.
Since we are all on the internet it's helpful to actually provide the link, since I was looking for blue underlined text.

I've had mine since the release date, no burn in images or dead pixels.
Going to merge the threads; no point in having two identical discussions.People were noticing that issue about 3-6 months in. especially around the clock if you have a blue background up. (blue pixels burn out first on amoled.) I'll see if I can find the original thread.
