Why would you think he was blasting the iPhone?
He was just saying that Apple provide same update for all regions, but Samsung provides different firmwares suited for different regions, hence different dates, so don't take it the wrong way, but people don't like Apple around here, talking about iPhone on an Android forum is useless.

and one more thing
Android is top smartphone OS in the US, iOS is a close second - GSMArena.com news
iOS is good, but it also has too many limitations.

Any OS has limitations. I don't think that talking about a competing OS is useless, as long as it's objective.
Android is selling over iOS and BB because of many factors, one of which is, iOS and BB are mainly for high end models, and Android is on mid to high end phones, so that for many people Android is more accesible. And personally, I really like Android, but nothing's perfect.

Flashing Instructions:

3) Extract previously downloaded firmware
4) Open ODIN 4.38 on your PC

10) If all goes well your phone should reboot automatically

13) Turn off your phone
14) Insert your SIM Card and SD Card again

16) Now you have the newest firmware!

Leaked one :)

That's because most of Samsung India's executives are well.. stupid :P
I gave my phone to Samy service center because i was having music player problems (while on VillainROM), and that guy could not even see that my phone didn't have FroYo in it, he just said "Cool Theme" :|

Don't worry, Samsung WILL update the Galaxy Ace. :)

lmao i asked a phone unlocker shop if he could "unlock and debrand a gsm htc hero with cyanogenmod 7 and su access"

he said......"err what?"

tech's these days, seems anyone who can install a printer calls themselves a tech.

I've just rolled back to 2.2,connected my phone to kies after i rolled back and checked. Kies told me there was an update so when I updated it's put me on 2.3 gingerbread.

Now i'm back to having the dam text message problem when it was fine when I first rolled back!!!

I spoke to virgin and the reckon it's a bug their network and 2.3.

It's such a pain having to turn packet data off everytime I want to send a text.

And which FW version you have now?

And which FW version you have now?

I've once again flashed back to 2.2,for some reason gingerbread is effecting my outgoing texts when packet data is on. I'd much rather stay on an old build thn have to toggle between turning it off whenever I want to send a text..which is often.
It seems to be a problem with 2.3 and my network carrier which i've made them aware of.
Until I hear this has been resolved i'm sticking where I am.
