Help screen not sensitive while charging battery

blueocean

Lurker
Anyone faced the same problem as mine? When i am charging my HTC Incredible S, the screen turn out to be not sensitive. I have to press harder than normal.

When I charged it in HK, I experienced this problem.
When I came back to Canada, the problem was gone.
BUT this was when my phone was still 2.2.1
Now that I've updated to Gingerbread, it's a little less sensitive than normal

i guess it is the voltage problem. If anyone has a solution for this, please post it here... appreciate it vy much.

Are you guys using genuine charges?
Mine all HTC did this when not genuine charger was used, as soon i plug genuine charger it works fine.

i am facing the same problem since today..it was working fine til now...today in the morning when i connected my IS to my laptop as a disk drive.. the screen just stopped responding...any suggestions?

Im using a genuine charger.. mine has done it ever since I got it.. and not just a little bit either, I have to unplug it to type a message because it misses pretty much 2/3 of the letters!

Is your power source connected to anything else? My IS's screen sensitivity was messed up when I plug it into a power source where another power supply - a transformer for my notebook PC.

The problem has to do with the grounding of the phone, the original HTC Incredible in the US had/has the same problem on some units. It's technically a defect.

I support this comment. This happens with the non-genuine chargers. I have an original charger and I do not face this problem. I bought a duplicate charger and I face a problem with that

Like I said before, mine is a genuine charger.

No, mines plugged directly into the socket. I changed power points and tried to charge directly from my PC but still the same problem :(

I've noticed this a couple of times recently too. It happened just now while my phone is charging via USB cable from the laptop.

Both times it's happened, restarting the phone has cleared it - it's still charging now and the screen is very responsive again.

Wierd.

I had the same problem and I realised the phone was getting quite hot as well so I think it's the fact the phone is heating up and the touch screen is getting confused by that but I'm not sure. Only solution to that is keep it cool I suppose
