Help Phone dials, then disconnects

Running GB, LP and Juice Defender. At least twice now in the past two weeks the phone appears to dial but then immediately disconnects. If I reboot, the call capability is restored.

Have you tried clearing the app data/cache for the dialer app?
 
Have you taken a look at the color of your bars before you make the call?

I have had this symptom when my bars + 3G symbol turn white, indicating they are not connected. If I dial a call, it tries to dial and immediately hangs up.

I suspect that may be your problem.

Yes, this is what is happening. I couldn't dial out again and noticed that the bars were white and I couldn't even get the 3G symbol. I could not find a way to get it to turn blue until I rebooted. After I did all functions return to normal. Very annoying.
 
I am having the same issue. It started a month ago. After about a day any call out will immediately disconnect. I have to reboot the DroidX phone to get it to be able to make calls again. I guess Droid has taken the "Windows" role to Apple and this might be more common in the future. Good thing they don't make pace makers. :eek:
 
I had to reboot my iPhones regularly, so Apple isn't immune to it either.

For me, it was only happening when I was either leaving or joining my wireless network at home. I was screwing around with my wireless router to see if settings were to blame. I'm now running WPA instead of WPA2, and wireless G only (instead of N + G), and haven't had the problem since. Not an ideal solution but I don't need N speeds or range since I'm in my apartment and only use wireless for internet access, and WPA is pretty secure.
 
I have the same issues too, u can't even sent out text either. And when u try wifi even if there's signal u can't connect to it!!! I think there's a bug in the update!!
