Accessories Samsung Vibrant Cases

got the case today. it's really nice. the black border is flexible TPU and the back is a hard, clear, matte plastic. got it for 8 bucks on ebay

I ordered this case based on your pictures and others who got it after you.

It's perfect - thanks! Hardly adds any bulk and I like that my usually sweaty palms aren't directly touching my phone.

I also ordered a red mesh one just to mix it up a bit but haven't received it yet since it's coming from overseas.

just got my otterbox case and i'm loving it. lots of protection but the plastic part is really slick and could slip through my hands pretty easy

I have the Trident Cyclops Case.

As far as looks and protection go, I love it.

Function however is lacking for me.

The way the phone sits in the case, I had the worst time trying to click the "menu" button in the lower left corner. I would have to mash the area multiple times for it to register the touch of my finger. The other 3 buttons (Home, Back and Search) would operate with no problems. I wish it was the Search button that had the problem, I never use it. But the menu button for me is a complete deal breaker for me. WAY too many things/options that I use that button for. Having to fight with it just to activate it has made me remove the case. Which angers me because I REALLY want to like it and use it. But trying to pull it up just to switch between gmail accounts happens way too often during the day to struggle with it so much.

Well the workaround has been to remove the screen protector. In the middle of the screen, it worked really well, in the corners, not so much. I figured that if the phone take any kind of serious hit to the center of the screen, that thin film isn't going to prevent catastrophic damage anyways. IMO, it still has all the drop protection that it had before, and now the entire screen and buttons are usable.

does it add a lot of bulk to the phone?

I decided to post some pics of the samsung case-mate black and pink case, I just got mine in today...i've seen pics of the black one but figured someone may want to see the black and pink one..

First off, the pink in the pictures on the website looks more rosy but in fact it's a hot pink, which is unfortunate but i guess i'll live :P

Unless someone knows of a way i can alter the pink silicone? glitter, paint, anything?? I need to tone down this bright pink, it's just not me lol

Also the 2nd picture is to show how the power button is...it seems like you wouldn't be able to push it but i haven't had a problem with it

I used to have a body glove case.i loved the texturedrubber back grip but after 3 months of using it and dropping the case at a low height made me change my mind. When it dropped the case got chchipped on the corner where it hit and the plastic metal like bezel also broke. Very disappointed. I didnt want to go extravagent on my next case and was searching ebay and found a one piece semi-hard silicon case that caufht my attention.

love how the holes ventilated the heat from the case, the body glove case actually kept heat and wrapped around it like a blanket.

Bought this new case from an ebay seller from Korea. It's very nice! I like this better than some of the TPU cases. This case got a snug fit and the pearl white is a nice contrast from the black. The volume and the power buttons got their cut out, which is a plus.

In looking for the "black clear vibrant" items on Ebay for the case with the TPU sides & translucent back, I found:
Samsung Vibrant Foggy Clear Case w/ Black TPU Border

for $3.95 with free shipping! I'm assuming it's the same as the others for $11.99 but we'll see when it arrives.

The add says there are 3 left - the seller is "mobilecloseouts99" so maybe this case is being discontinued.

I just recvd my Otterbox Commuter and I love it!!! Does not add alot of bulk but it has a great feel, I purchased it from The Cell Guru online and it was only $21 bucks and $1.99 for shipping. Definately worth it

Hello all,

I am looking for advice on water proof or water resistant cases. I am not planning to take the Vibrant swimming, but more long the lines of water rides at amusement parks or to the beach. Any recommendations?

LOL, my wife said the same thing. FYI, the touch screen still works while in side TWO ziplock bags!

Kev

LOL, sorry, I couldn't resist... I'm glad to know that the touch screen still works though ;)

For me the Ziplock solution would be ideal for the number of times per year I'm at an amusement park or the beach.
