Bigger battery for desire HD?

I haven't seen one person that has bought one of these "bigger" batteries report that there battery lasts longer than the original. All the reports I have seen say that the bigger battery lasts the same amount of time or less.
 
I have bought a 3rd party battery and It was worse than the original HTC supplied one, So I kinda lost faith in them, But if you have a good experiance, please let me know!!

I know a lot of folk say HTC should've put a bigger battery in the DHD, but I'm really of the opinion that if they could've put a better battery in what was their flagship device at the time, they would have. Or they would've released a bigger, overpriced battery for it by now.

I've had numerous "extended" batteries and always returned to stock.

Give it a go by all means, but I wouldn't hold very high hopes to be honest.
 
hmmm, i may just save the few quid and get one of those emergency chargers :P!

shame HTC didnt put in a bigger battery really, would be the perfect device if so!

also would be perfect if HTC sense worked for me, but thats another story...

I bought two non-original batteries for my DHD, and they are bigger than the original one, also last longer. but not very clear...

in addition, i got the notice of upgrading version android 2.3 just now, perfect...

Could you let us know where you got the 3rd party batteries... did you get them from the link above?

Always worth knowing where to get more power!! :D
 
I purchased a night stand charger and 2 batteries off ebay (not sure if they are the same as the link) The batteries are "1600" but they don't last any longer than the original. They were cheap but I'm not disappointed with them. I get through most days on one battery but it is very convenient to has an extra one at work or for those days that are busy.
 
i own a cheap replacement battery, and that is also 1600mah, but it doesnt last as long as the official one..

the best way to make your battery last longer im afraid is to root... i get nearly 2 days usage from one full charge atm
