Help Can't get the gTablet to start!

I tried to install clockworkmod and it looked like it was installing it. I then shut it off then pressed the power button and the +volumn. I see "Recovery key detected" and "Booting recovery kernel image" and that is where it sits!

I can not get it to do anything! I've also tried just pressing the power button and the ViewSonic screen with the birds comes up and stays there. Have I ruined this gtablet? I just got it yesterday! Can someone help me get it going again?

I did the exact same thing (I mean the exact same thing and almost on the same date!) and what I've been told is that I "softbricked" my device. You basically have 3 options:

1. Contact Viewsonic support (send them your tablet and hopefully they will fix it and send it back for a price)

2. Check out this link: HOW TO FIX : Tablet will not turn on or boot after splash that shows how to ground your connectors. You need to have a very good understanding of CBs, capacitors, resistors before attempting this.

3. See if you can find a good smart phone / pc engineer or electrician who could possibly fix it for you (maybe even follow the steps outlined on the link above).

I actually tried options 2 and 3 first. I opened my case, but not knowing enough about circuit boards and grounding out connectors it didn't help. Then I tried contacting several pc / smart phone repair shops explaining the problem and what I believed would be a viable solution but no one wanted to try it. So I settled for option 1. After several attempts to call Viewsonic support I finally got through and sent my tablet to them on Jun 22. They received it Jun 24 and I haven't heard back from them. The support info I rec'd says that it takes up to 2 weeks to get it sent back to me. So hopefully I'll know more by the end of this week. Good luck.

not directed at you.... it is the name of the website. It has very comprehensive guides for every part of the gtablet. I found it to be very helpful.

Have you gotten the tablet back yet? Did they fix it? Update!
