Help The battery life drives me NUTS!

I use it and it is done within 6 hours. I'm gonna have to get the Nexus S 4G because I hear the battery life is as good as the Atrix. I don't wanna give up my cheap Sprint plan.
 
It only lasts you 6 hours? Do you have the brightness set low and 3g/4g/wifi/gps turned off when you are not using them? By doing this on my Epic, I have had AT LEAST 12 hours of battery life with moderate use.
 
I have 3g/4g always on but the brightness is set to low (all the way down). :( My battery last from 7am-2pm. :( I want it to lasy all the way up until 6pm at least. I am using the ROM Bonsai rooted.
 
One thing that has helped mine a lot is having a switcher on my homescreen to toggle brightness, gps, and mobile data. I turn off mobile data before I turn off the screen each time and it really saves battery when the phone is idle. Using the widgetsoid app for the switcher but there are a bunch to choose from. And I only turn on 4G when I watch youtube or browse content-heavy websites. For brightness, I switch between 20%, 40% and 100% depending on environment. I use my phone on my breaks and lunch and usually have 75-85% when I get home from work.

Your using bonsai and only getting 6 hours?????
Thats unbelievable....i am running bonsai 4.1.1 and 8hrs of my work day my phon is searching for a signal the whole time and i get 14+ hrs on it?
Whats your battery usage say??
When you say you have 4g on all the time, do you mean 4g is enabled and your on 4g? 4g is known to drain batteries...not just on the epic.
I would check your battery usage and post a screenshot or let us know whats using up your battery
 
What is using up my battery is the screen. It says 95% but I don't understand when I have no widgets and have the display all the way down. :(

It shouldnt be? Do you have spare parts installed? If not you should get it so you can chec to see whats keeing your phone awake?
When you click the display portion what does it say after that?

Regardless of how bright your display is, when your phone is awake (screen on), the display will use the most power.

Try this. Charge up your phone and then unplug it right before you go to sleep. 6-8 hours later, before doing anything else with your phone, check the battery usage. Post your results.

You need to be smarter than your smart phone. The only reason your phone only last 6 hrs. is because you haven't figured out how to optimize it yet. Read through the forums here and learn all the battery saving tips. My phone easily lasts over 12 hrs. .
