Root CyanogenMod 6.1/Android 2.2 Is here for GT540!

how do i change it so i can use Launcherpro as my home screen default everytime i select it, it keeps changing back to the cyanogenmod 1 ??

There should be a home selector app, press on that and choose LauncherPro.

Access to 3G/GPRS? You should be able to in all ROMs, did you set the APN up correctly?
 
how do i get push notifications theres a option in the cyanogen mod tab in settings but it force closes everytime i click it is there a way to fix this?

You won't be able to get push notifications for updates through that, it's only for official versions of CyanogenMod. BUT I am working on an app that can send push notifications for ROM updates.. :)
 
im having trouble with these M's i have M6 now but i cant received 2 calls when talking and the camera doesnt work when i press the button to take the photo :( its getting annoying
 
i have install android 2.3.4.and is not so bad. but now,i wanna to install an android 2.2 froyo clean version. is it possible to go back to 2.2 over recovrey?

I followed your guide and installed the 6.1(2.2) firmware via that Auto Open Swift installer. It installed just fine without any errors or problems. But now I noticed both my wi-fi reception and 3G/2G connection are really low(almost zero). Even putting the phone next to my router doesn't help. It worked really great with 2.1 but now it doesn't work at all.

you should update to cm7 to fix that problem of yours..goodluck!:D
 
there is one problem, i update mj GT to Cyanogen Mod 7 and network coonection is Z-E-R-O. pls help, i need internet alot :/
 
ok, i solved that problem, but i have another. keyboard. i have my favourite keyboard that i use, and when i install it and in settings set to use that keyboard everytime i restart my phone, it returns to default keyboard.i dont like that "default" keyboard that is placed in

If you have titanium backup you can freeze your other keyboards that it keeps returning to. I currently run both swiftkeyX and touchpal. The android keyboard, and the LG IME are both frozen and I don't have any issues.
 
Someone please help! I installed cyanogen mod and updated my Anroid to 2.2.1 version. I can surf through my browser when I connect to wi-fi hot spot but I can't create google account and download apps from the market. I only need astro file manager so it is pretty urgent. Is there any way to install apps to my phone beside Market? Thanks in advance

I managed to create gmail account and log in to Android Market but now there is another problem. When I start to download apps it gets stuck and says "Starting download" and it won't download anything :-( If I need to update my phone to android 2.3.4. do I make everything like in your tutorial for updating to 2.2.1.? Thank you for a quick responce. Cheers!

Yeah just upgrade to 2.3, much less bugs and you follow the same process except you don't do the KDZ updater part

I installed Cyanogen in october, i've had some serious issues after that.

The USB cable when connected to the PC doesnt work,i cant add files to the phone

Alot of apps dont work or they just crash witch irritates me ALOT.

the phone freezes time to time for no reason when im just browsing about.

The Phone reboots itself everyday atleast once.

The Battery drains quicker than the original version.

I can go on, but i think i've proven my point

The worst of it, is that i dont have the backup fails, witch i SWARE to god i did, but i cant find it on the PC folder witch i placed all my programs i used to install swift.

What am i supose to do now?Its really pissing me off. I could use all the help

Hi dude man,
I had recently Changed my android using CyanogenMod 6.1 .I am having a problem that the root explorer is in another language (not in english ) ,and it doest get update . secondly when i play videos i get grid lines while seing video .so please help me soon. also tell me if these will be solved by updating to android 2.3 by your post
