Here's a question...Does anyone know when the phones that all of the Sprint, RS and BB stores get shipped? When do retail stores usually get things that are supposed to be released on a specific date?

BestBuy (and probably others) releases most of their new movies, music, games and etc. on Tuesdays, but when do they actually get the product?

Been a LONG time since i worked retail (at a large BB-type store), but generally we got only a truck or two a week. So odds are they have them sitting in the back a few days before they can put them out. Sprint wouldn't normally ship to individual stores; they would probably ship to BB distribution centers ahead of the time the dist. centers would need to pack up trucks to head to the stores.

(Someone may need to correct me if my archaic information has outlived its correctness....)
 
Mine is still saying awaiting processing in the warehouse. Not looking good for a tomorrow delivery for me.

I ordered mine last night at about 2:15 am eastern time. Sprint called me at about 10:45 am eastern time this morning and verified my account pin, address, and all that stuff. I just put the phones on my account and will pay for them on my next bill. And I don't have a cancelled order or anything, just the one order.

In case that info helps anyone...

I guess it just depends on what the items are. Music and movies would usually be in the store about a week to 2 weeks before actual release, again just sitting in the back. Most of the time I would say new releases would come from the warehouse but in some cases there are special deliveries straight to each individual store and cutting out the warehouse all together. Something like the evo, in my opinion would seem like it would just come straight from sprint a day or so before release. Of course I been out of the retail game so things could have changed.

nope sprint messed up most of the orders that were done before 8am EST. they cancelled those and pushed them to the to the back of the line. If you ordered after 8am EST and before 4pm EST you should have your phone by Wednesday, everyone that ordered before 8am EST will more than likely have it Thursday
 
Dammit man...still no word on mine. I am a little irritated that the people that were first to order will not get theirs first. Oh well....just a phone. My EVO is doing it's Car Dock weirdness again and I was really hoping to not have to deal with it after tomorrow(I even deleted all parts of the car dock app yet it still activates itself in the car dock mode). Hopefully by Thursday...

nope sprint messed up most of the orders that were done before 8am EST. they cancelled those and pushed them to the to the back of the line. If you ordered after 8am EST and before 4pm EST you should have your phone by Wednesday, everyone that ordered before 8am EST will more than likely have it Thursday

Seriously? My order has been at "Your order is awaiting processing at the warehouse" since I ordered (7:38am est). I just assumed they were fulfilling East coast orders first due to time constraints, and that's why I hadn't received any tracking info yet.

I mean how can you say for sure that sprint messed up? Do we really know what they are doing or what steps they have to take to make sure everything gets processed? I am one of those that ordered no more than 5 minutes after the link went live, I am also one that showed cancelled on both my orders but it seems like I was the first one on the forums to actually get tracking info on both my orders. So who knows whats really going on? Hell, there have been times when I have received phones from sprint before I got the tracking info. So who knows what method they are using to get themselves through all this madness.
 
Yeah, I must admit. Everything seems random. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if they were just randomly shipping orders. Almost like a lottery system. There is no pattern thus far that I can tell....

You know, that is a great point. Has anyone in the mountain or pacific time zones got tracking info yet? I'm out west myself and my order still says awaiting processing in the warehouse.

cause i have been on the phone with sprint for about 2 hours today. also im on the sprint "priemer" forums and sprint rep "art" comfirmed it
 
Good news:

I was one of the ones who ordered early and had the order canceled and resubmitted behind the scenes. I just got notification that my order shipped. It's 12:48am, about 24 hours since i placed the order. So it looks like the fulfillment center is working around the clock to get these out.

UPS tracking says it's coming from Louiseville, KY, and is scheduled to arrive (today) before 3pm. Consistent with the people who got the notice earlier.

The phone got to UPS around 10pm CDT.
