Another weird text messaging bug.

I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but sometimes people randomly get text messages that I had sent them previously.

For example, yesterday, I text someone my dinner plans. They received the text message, and responded to it. Today, they randomly received the same text message.

The other day, I restarted my phone, and someone else got a message I sent days prior. In fact, this has happened to the same person on multiple occasions.

Has anyone else seen this?

I am using the default text messaging app.

I am using the default text messaging app.

I have seen this before and it is almost always a Verizon/carrier thing. I have heard someone say that this happened with their rooted phone, but they were messing with some settings that are root only and broke something.

I do know that the Verizon network likes to resend text messages from time to time.
