What a difference it is going from a Blackberry to this!!! I got to Best Buy Mobile this morning right when it opened. My number from T-mobile ported over in less than 2 hours. Best Buy had a good selection of accessories. I picked up the Otterbox Defender case and I really like it, Great all around protection. And much cheaper than the Sprint Store 3 doors down from it. I also got the Zagg shield for the screen. The phone is Great. Much better than my Blackberry Bold 9700!!! It is really FAST!! I watched some of the Green Hornet and my eyes are fine.

Thanks to everyone who has given the early reviews. I was getting nervous I had out a deposit on it in May and reading all the bad reviews had me scared. This forum is Great. Thanks to all for the great info!!

So what does everyone think about the 3D capability? i mean...honestly after the reviews bashed it i thought it would honestly be a forgotten feature once i got the phone...

Boy is this phone a beast...how silky smooth it is, the fast performance it has...but i was even more impressed by how well the 3D feature works..it works quite well honesty....easier for me than the 3Ds i tried out a few months ago at Target..only gripe is screen washes out fairly easily if tilting it even a little off point...
 
Fyi for anybody trading their og evo in at the sprint store, they do let you keep your memory card from the original
 
So you ported your number from T Mobile at Best Buy cause isn't Sprint giving an extra 125 for porting your number still?

As soon as i got home I immediately logged and got the 125 port credit process started. That really makes the price of the phone cheaper. I traded in my old phones which basically made the phone only cost me $60.00. I am really excited.

I just wanted to say quickly that I just got mine 30 mins ago and the baby is charging! I'm brand new to these forums and it's great to read about everyone's new toy!
 
my gmail will not sync. setting are right, I mean when I refresh it syncs fine, but not getting my emails, on wifi I get them, but nothing coming in on 3g, thoughts? what do you think?
 
I just returned home from the Sprint Store with my first ever Smart phone. You don't want to know how old my flip phone was...:eek:

Like many here, my phone is charging and I'm practicing great self-control to not "play" with it.

It was a great experience to have a knowledgeable employee work with me on all the set ups. The phone was reserved 3 weeks ago after purchasing the $50 Sprint Card. The consultant transferred my contacts, synced my gmail, but couldn't get Yahoo mail to sync. But, I see there is already a troubleshoot thread here that I will try out. She also downloaded the updates and that took about 15 minutes on the store's wi-fi, lol!

I purchased the Sprint silicone cover and screen protectors. They had plenty of hard covers available with the kickstand but I'll wait on that.

Anyway, I'm excited about trying out so many of the recommendations and just getting used to this type of phone.

Thanks to all the 'pioneers' who have gone before me. Your contributions are appreciated. ;)

Welcome to the fourms new people and enjoy your 1st smartphone. This is the best best phone ever. I said that last year on June 4th. I've had mine since about 12:30 today it's bad ass.. :-)
 
Just got mine today at the Shack. I was pleasantly surprised. The phone is better then I thought it would be. The 3D aint half bad.
 
Sadly, I've been busy all day.
I'll be busy all day tomorrow too.
I can't get it on Sunday (religious reasons).
Hopefully, Monday will be the day in which I will say "I HAVE MINE!!!"
