Problem with Flashing Cognition

Hey guys, having an issue. I have my SG2 rooted, no issue there. I downloaded Cognition and put it on my external SD card. Fine and Dandy. I then go into CWM and select reboot into clockworkmodrecovery. Everything is great. Then I see the contents of my internal memory, I then go down to external sd and select it but nothing is showing.

I am also getting the following error message:

Cant access to '/system/scs/XEU/system/'

Any idea's what I am doing wrong?

Thanks.

Tried that. Got signature verification failed.

Also, just realized that there is a partition on my internal memory called external sd. This is not my external card. Clockwork mod recovery doesnt see the external card at all.

Ok put the file on you internal sd card. go to install zip from sd card then go to toggle signature verification (this will turn it off) then try the install again.

Where would I find the toggle verification setting?

Thanks for your help.

Go into CWM and click reboot into recovery. Go down to install zip from sdcard then select it. Then select "-toggle signature verification" and it should disable it.

Did all of that, but I do not see anything referring to "toggle signature verification". Once I select install zip from sdcard is see the cognition zip file. I can only select it, then it starts to try to flash and I get the signature verification error.

Either you are doing something wrong or you have a different version of clockworkmod that I have never seen.

Ok try this way instead. Turn your phone off. When it has shut down hold volume up key, home key and power key at the same time. The phone should reboot into recovery. Go down using the volume down key to install zip from sdcard. Press the home key. There should now be 4 options IIRC. One of them is choose zip from sdcard and one is toggle signature verification. Go to signature verification and press home key. This should disable it. If it says enanbled then press it again until it says disabled. Once disabled try installing the zip again. Other than that I cant help you.

I appreciate your help. I tried that and got the same result. I have found a thread over at XDA which is saying that I did something wrong. Not sure what though. The thread is 150 pages long so trying to work back is going to be a chore. Im thinking to reflash the stock ROM, romove root and then re-root using a different method. Did you root your SG2? If so, if you could forward me a link (other than CF Root) it would be appreciated.

I was going to suggest re rooting. I just used cf root so cant help you there sorry. Hope you get it sorted. Have you tried flashing any other rom like villain?

Have you tried redownloading the cognition Rom? Maybe the file is corrupted ...
