Help Wifi Battery Usage Question

I leave wifi on all the time. Would toggling Wifi on and off make a difference? I only use the wifi at home so it would be fairly easy to turn on when I'm home and off when I'm not.

When WiFi is enabled and not connected, it checks for new networks every few minutes. It does actually chew up quite a bit of battery. Toggling WiFi off when not needed should have you a good chunk of battery.

Should I also turn off the Mobile Data when on Wifi? I was under the assumption that the phone would auto toggle the Mobile Data when connected to Wifi.

Mine appears to shut down Mobile Data when connected via wifi, however the switching back and forth goes poorly and usually results in me having no data connectivity until a reboot.

Gave up for now til they have a fix, just mobile data for me for now...
