Help Removing Go Dialer as default. (spun off from Tyranny Thread)

Ok. So I called Sprint and got my msl code and when I dial ##3282# my phone actually dials out and I hear a voice recording. It doesn't go to a menu. Am I doing something wrong? I can only guess that maybe I have to do this with the stock dialer and I'm currently using godialer. If that's the case does anyone know how to get back to the stock dialer? Thanks!

My guess would be to uninstall the non-default dialer and the stock one should appear.

settings -> applications -> manage applications -> all applications

find god dialer and clear defaults and it will allow you to chose dialer click phone and chose stock dialer but dont check use as default and next time you use phone you can set goddialer back as default

Went to:
settings -> applications -> manage applications -> all applications

Go Dialer is not listed there but I did see the stock dialer.

If I go to the screen that shows all of my installed programs I see Go Dialer but not the stock dialer.

Getting very frustrated. Can't uninstall Go Dialer since it's not listed in the manage applications section and can't load stock dialer since it doesn't show in the installed programs list. Uuuugh!

Anyone know if that is the problem of why my phone won't accept the ##3282# code?

then clear defaults under installed programs, it all comes out in the wash

Under Manage Applications I have: Downloaded / All / On SD Card / Running

Go Dialer is not listed under any of them. The only place Go Dialer shows up is if I look at the "All Apps" section from the home screen. From that list it seems I can only start programs.

go to manage apps, downloaded, go contacts and clear data and that will get you option to use stock phone

EDIT
I did all this, installed, cleared data and uninstalled in 5 mins, it works

That was it! Turns out when Go Contacts is installed it makes 2 app icons....Go Contacts & Go Dialer. Did as you said....went in to Manage Programs and cleared defaults in Go Contacts. Bingo!

Used stock HTC dialer and then the phone accepted the ##3282# code and I was able to change my proxy settings.
