Help Noob Question on Updating the ROM

So, a total noob question about updating the ROM. Do you need to have your FT3 Rooted first to update the ROM, or will the ROM update automatically from the SD card without rooting it first?

You will, however, end up with a rooted tablet! Neat, Eh?
