Help how to copy phonebook from SIM to micro SD

I already copied phonebook from SIM card to PC as text file. How do I send it to micro SD on the phone so I can read it on the phone?

To import contacts from an SD card:

  1. Insert the SD card into the memory slot. (May already be installed)
  2. From the home screen, touch Contacts
  3. Touch the Menu Key
  4. Touch Import/Export
  5. Touch Import from SD card
Notes:

  • Contacts are exported in vcf (V Card) format.
  • You need to set up an email account before you can import contacts from your SD Card
  • Also you can import the vcf card to your gmail account that way you will always have them.

I dont't think you understand what im trying to do. I want to transfer the contacts from the SIM TO the SD. I tried to do the steps you said but phone is asking for contacts in Vcard format.

Just follow the steps nuttmeg said, but instead, you want "export to sdcard". Doing this will save your contacts in vcf format to the sdcard. However, if you have Facebook contacts synced to your phonebook, i don't think those are included.

FYI, the best way to manage your contacts is to always save them to your Google account. That way you'll always have them.
