Sprint Samsung Gingerbread Udpate

Has anyone received the update on their Sprint Galaxy Tab 7" yet for the gingerbread update? Supposedly they starting rolling out the udpate today 7/5 but when I try to update I just get "your system is currently up to date".

I haven't got it yet and i haven't read of anybody else getting it either. Surely somebody has by now?!?

I bought the Sprint Galaxy Tab 7" on Craigslist, so I don't have a contract and I'm only connecting to the internet via wifi and not 3G. Will it be an over-the-air update? If so, how will I be able to get it?

If not ota, where could I download it?

I bought mine on ebay, no contract, and am using it with just wifi. I honestly don't know if the update will come ota, that's why I just manually upgraded. Check the link I posted, it's super easy and takes only a few minutes. I think the zip file needed is in post 139, double check it.

Successfully downloaded and installed through the manual download link at xda. There are very subtle cosmetic differences between Froyo and Gingerbread (you'll notice the icons in the top bar right away). It seems like most of the improvements are behind the scenes, although there are some new toys to discover.

Once the file was downloaded and moved into the right directory on the SD card, the update was really simple. Took less than five minutes to complete, and all of my data was intact.

Over the next few days, I'll see if there's any noticeable improvement in the battery life. While already good at 2.2 (for my needs, anyway), I'm curious to see if it gets even better.

Netflix alone makes this update worth it.

Has anyone received the update through the automatic "push" to the Tab?

Can you post a link to the download area of XDA??

Have not received the automatic push and have no plans to put it on and lose root. I don't have a Netflix account so that's not even a factor for me.

I also am not hooked up to 3G and only using wifi - just got the update notice today. I haven't downloaded it yet as I am at work but I will be as soon as I get home :D

If you're rooted you might consider passing. There is currently no way to root 2.3.4 update.
