I myself have the CDMA version of the Desire and i Know that one difference is that i dont have a sim card and CDMA dosent have flashable radios.

But what are other differences and maybe there should be a sticky made to inform people about the differences and to help them find out which they have themselves.

As the CDMA has different hardware, it has different drivers and libraries to run that hardware. Because the hardware involved is what controls network connection (Radio) those differences are pretty massive. Thats why you can't run GSM roms on CDMA and vice versa.

How to figure out if you have a CDMA phone:
1) Remove the back cover
2) Look for SIM card
