Help I Updated to 2.3.3 using RUU

I recently update my DINC2 to 2.3.3 using RUU. It has a couple of annoying bugs and I wanted to reset to 2.2. I did a factory data reset and I'm still at 2.3.3. Can anyone tell me how to get back to the original factory settings. I did not back up my factory ROM before 2.3.3. Thanks.

The Factory Data Reset option resets the currently install ROM back to its original settings, not back to the original ROM settings that the phone was shipped with. If you didn't do a backup, then you are out of luck.

Also, once you upgrade to Gingerbread 2.3.3, you cannot downgrade your phone back to Froyo 2.2 either through an existing Froyo 2.2 RUU or via a backup because these 2 versions use different radios.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Will I be able to receive the Verizon 2.3.3 being pushed out now to overwrite my current ROM?

Since you already have a version of 2.3.3 installed, I don't think you will get the OTA notification. In the off chance that you do get it, give it a shot.

BTW, there is a separate forum for the HTC Droid Incredible 2, just so you know.

Wow bad info. You can downgrade from 2.3.3 to 2.2 you just need to flash stock radio first wich will require root use unrevoked3. Once you downgrade the radio use unrevoked s-on tool and flash the froyo ruu. Once installed go to settings->SD & Phone Storage and do a factory reset. Your phone is now compleetley stock like it was from the factory.

here are all the files.

Talk about bad information. The thread you referenced was for the HTC Incredible. This is the HTC INCREDIBLE S forum, not the HTC Incredible forum. On the HTC Incredible S and the Droid Incredibel 2, unrevoked does not work. You have to use AlphaRevX to gain S-OFF and root the system. On the IncS/DInc2, once you upgrade to GB 2.3.3, you cannot go back to a Froyo ROM because HTC changed the radio. A Froyo radio will not work on a GB ROM and vice versa.
