New Google Android Market update

The update for the, as yet unreleased, Google Android Market is available!

"You might have heard that Google was rolling out a new Android Market, complete with book and movie rentals. You also might have heard it would coming in the next few weeks. Well thanks to an anonymous source (possibly with a time machine) you can grab it today.
Hit the download link, and install it from your SD card like any other app. Fair warning -- we don't know if there will be any complications from doing this, but we haven't seen any so far. Use your best judgement."

Thanks to AndroidCentral you can download and install the .apk now.

Working fine so far on the Galaxy SII and Nexus One, both on 2.3.4... :D

It's nice but I had a couple fc the first time I would use another gapp. Seems to have worked itself out, though. On CM4DX.

The way I installed.
Renamed the old vending apk to vending.bak
Pasted the new market (after renaming it vending.apk.
Long press and set permissions. I just checked everything.lol
Clicked and installed the apk.
Change back to read only.
Reboot phone.
Done

@bigxie just tweeted that it was signed incorrectly for Apex RC2 and put out a flashable zip. That's probably my problem with Liberty .9

Yeah roger that.

I did it the same way darkside did, I just set up the permissions correctly. :p

Running fine on Apex here for me.

Morning people :-)

Long time since my last post due to a change in work and no longer being chained to my PC but hopefully this is useful for you all :-)

Here is a link to the all new market apk that is in my dropbox. Tried and tested and works fine.

Enjoy :-)

The new look is a big improvement, I guess Amazon and Getjar are keeping Google on their toes...

Just used Root Explorer to navigate to the APK and when it asked me if I wanted to replace the ap I confirmed and am enjoying the new Market.
