Root Firmware mods and resources of the Wildfire

Has somebody tried an custom mod for the wildfire that manages the resources better than the stock firmware? More specifically, Does the Cyanogenmod 7 runs faster on the Wildfire than the stock firmware?
 
nope i dnt think so...actually i had rooted my phone recently an installed cyan.7.0, and my first impression on it was bad..android market was not working..the UI was not competeble to the HTC sense...so in few hours i got the stock rom again and unrooted...

Where do I find the Wildfire stock firmware? I'm afraid of installing a mod firmware because I also don't have a stock firmware to go back. Also (slightly offtopic), how does the wildfire performs on Android 2.2?
 
well u can find stock roms at shippedroms.com, and for the performance on 2.2, in my opinion its better thn 2.1, u hv some more apps to choose frm in android market..and ucould take apps to sd card...tht always helps..:)
 
and remember whn if u download a rom frm the site, it has to be the one u hv nw on ur mobile...exactly the same..so check ur version of rom nw and download the one similar to it...
