Desire HDD connot access internet via WiFi

Hi,

I have an HTC Desire HD
Recently I have been unable to connect to the internet via my home Wifi network.

I can connect to the router via wifi, and browse the router admin web interface.

The problem is I cannot access anything on the internet, I receive timeout errors.

I have checked the router and the firewall has been disabled.

I also have an HTC Desire, that connect to the internet via Wifi without any issues.

I was wondering if anyone had experienced this problem?

Have you just updated to 2.3.3? There have been reported compatibility issues between the handset and some routers after the 2.3.3 update. The WiFi cut off point is set too low.

You could try assigning yourself a static IP, that has been known to help in some cases.

There is also another OTA update doing the rounds, but it breaks the GPS according to some reports (I know vodafone have already asked HTC to stop sending it to voda branded handsets).

You could try assigning yourself a static IP, that has been known to help in some cases.
