Prevail giving me msg that non-OEM battery will not charge

I bought a pair of non-OEM batteries on ebay a couple weeks ago. They shipped from China and just arrived. When I put them into the phone and connect to a charger it gives me that msg that "battery is not compatible and will not charge". I do get the batteries to charge fine in the charger that came with them.

Anyways, I know this is a common issue and am hoping there's a work-around/fix for this.

This is why I don't buy non-OEM crap anymore that's made in China. I had bought an an accessory pack for my Prevail and the USB cable doesn't have the additional wires for charging so I can only use it for data. I also THINK the OEM batteries have some sort of chip in it to make it compatible with the phone. I know for sure that some other batteries do this. For example my PSP battery has a chip inside(I hard modded it for an exploit called Pandora) and the PSP itself needs to be able to read the chip.

You could have spent like $11 bucks on Amazon for an OEM one, in fact it's the Samsung one on there.

I bought two battery plus charger (made in China) off Ebay for less than $11 and they work great . No probs. what so ever . :p

Mine has the USB on the charger too ! :D
