Root Not able to format /data

leffe

Newbie
Hey guys, for some reason I cannot format /data in CWM. It just reports an error. I went ahead and flashed anyway, but it seems stuck, it just stays at Android....

This is on a non-rooted Nook Color, I normally run CM7 from SD card, and I'm trying to install phiremod to emmc.

Thanks

Check post #71 in this thread, this is where colchiro directed me when I had that problem. Seems to be the partitioning of the NC's internal memory.

The link I posted is for bootable sdcards.

If you can get it from Rom Manager, that works too. (You aren't running from SD card, are you?)

Sorry, I will just follow your link and instructions...thanks!

I am running from SD when in CM7....that's how I flashed clockwork recovery to the nook.

If you can see the original files with same names with the card in your computer, just copy the new ones over. :D

Thanks cwcheese and colchiro!

I made a CWM 3.2.0.1 bootable SD card loaded with CM7RC1 and OC kernel and followed your instructions. I immediately tested to see if CWM could format /data and it worked!

Loaded the os and kernel and it's humming very nicely! AWESOME!

thanks

EDIT: Haha, I just remembered this post was originally about phiremod, oops! Thanks guys, or gals....
