Android 2.x on Galaxy

How far is the autonomy of the battery with this rom? Maybe could be a perfect rom to wait another version.. but there is no camera, shit...
 
i told it many times, i get same usage as stock 1.5 out of a single charge, 3.5 hours of usage (screen on, wifi/edge used). or 30-40 hours of
standby. the difference is presentation of remaining battery.

per example, i can get 20mins of browsing with battery below 30%. try that on
stock 1.5.

so far, 1.03 is working well...
 
So, what are the known issues with mustymod 1.03?
I can live without camera and bluetooth for a while but was the problem with bad voice quality for outgoing calls fixed? What about calendar and gmail sync?
 
Two questions:

1. To add hebrew support to Galaxhero I pushed new font files using adb, is this the same with 1.03?

2. How exactly do I odin this version and how do I odin without rewriting my existing csc file?
 
Kouske: regarding question a, you would have to fastboot drakaz recovery, and remount from there installing the fonts, like you did in galaxo (if you have galaxo).

It's not the nps updates..I'm just afraid that if I remove the csc my network will stop functioning like it happened the first time I rewrote it...

Is there a way to backup my csc file btw?
 
I was actually thinking about backing up in case I want to flash back to galaxhero but never mind. Figures I just had to remove cache.img from the II5 tar file and that's it. :)

3G is working from the earliest version. But, there is a butt. :)

At the moment I have a non reproducable problem with 2g/3g data. Sometimes, If I disable/enable apn, I need to reboot the phone to get back IP address on interface to be able to use data service. I'll try to debug next time it reappears. Anyone else noticed it on musty rom?

One more question, I have noticed big difference in caching thumbnails speed by switching from IG8 to Galaxo, and than to IK5. Any differences here?

Phone is very responsive, but forget about 3d games or watching any kind of videos. I believe musty will fix those because he's preparing memory (back to 96megs) and kernel (.config suggests hw3d) for GPU.

Caching of thumbnails actually works as intended. Thumbnails stay across reboots and they're generated fast, I remember problems on stock 1.5 roms...

2.1 is still not at master stage so let's hope 1.04 comes with 2.1 and working 3d gallery.

hey i am using my phone without APN settings... i dont need it. i use only wifi... so i cant upgrade to mustymod fireware also if i have UMTS (CDMA) sim card?? can i use teh phone for call?

I've not flashed mustymod yet, but i am seeing this issue on ik4 but not ii5 which has been the most stable for me so far.

Is that Nexus one's gallery? Would anyone please take a video of it?

No, it's 1.5 gallery as Nexus' gallery would require 3D support, which is not available in latest mustymod's release.

Uh, IK4 baseband is inside mustymod! It may be it. If only we could tell him there is IK5 or II5 without that issue. :/

No worries, voice is handled via radio interface, data over wifi.

Thanks for the info... :( I just love nexus's gallery =) Cant wait to have it on galaxy!
