Droid Charge Panoramic Camera

Works excellent! Its an awesome feature to have built in..

Basically it works by making you take pictures one frame at a time (usually move left to right) then stitch it up and Wala....a panoramic picture. If you ever used a panoramic app before, it probably works the same way.

It works great! YSPanorama.jpg

It works, but it stinks that the resolution has to be so low. The phone takes these shots at 0.3MP

so, you take multiple frame in a roll (how many MAX) and the camera stitch it up together. You don't sweep the camera like in some SOny digital point and shoot cameras?

no, you do in fact sweep it like a real camera. you press the shutter button once and rotate the phone. There is a maximum of 8 shots.

I would like to start off by saying thank you because I had no idea that my phone did this.

I played with it a little this morning and did a panoramic photo of my cube and it makes me feel a lot more boxed in than it did yesterday... so that sucks. I plan to play with it more afterwork.

I've used it and it's really good, my only complaint is the SUPER low resolution. I'd love to be able to use at least a 5MP resolution or something close to it... Hell, even 3MP would probably be decent enough to use it as a background.
