divx on LG optimus M

I have an LG Optimus M and in the "about phone" section under "settings" it has an option "DivX VOD registration". When I click on this, a box pops up that says: "Registration You must register your device to play DivX protected videos. Registration code: xxxxxxxxxx. Register at vod.divx.com". Then at the bottom of the box it says 'confirm'. When I click on the 'confirm' box, it just disappears and nothing else happens.
I tried going to the website listed on the registration box and downloaded the divx player, but it really doesnt give me many options. I tried going to the website on my laptop to see if I could register my phone that way, and nothing. After downloading the player and codec and whatever else to my phone via the website from my phone, nothing happened, I couldn't find the application. I attempted to download it again thinking maybe it had stopped and not finished downloading and I got a message that said 'file already exists on SD card'. Well I looked everywhere on my phone and could not find it. I cannot find a DivX icon (which the website keeps telling me I need to click on), nor can I find it in "manage my applications" not even on "SD Move". Anyone else having a similar problem? Thanks for any help!

Go here. Go to the last post by teh_dude. That should help you. If you have anymore questions then try pming him because I'm not very well versed in this.
 
You'll never need that option unless you plan to play DRM content from DivX On Demand. Registering your device requires downloading a small movie that connects your phone to their DRM server so it is authorized to play their media. Everyday DivX downloads will play fine without doing anything extra to your phone. If you want to do it anyway, feel free to PM me and I will help you walk through it.
